
Specula

Specula is a tool for designing eyeglasses and eyeglass collections using a generative design methodology. Properties of the shape of a pair of glasses are identified and mapped to non-related parameters such as the typology and topology of mountains. A comprehensible design-guide supports the user in understanding and executing this design-process.
Software Prototype
To test the potential of parametrization, a basic web-app was developed. It has four different parameters which can be controlled via a simple interface.






Analog Guide
As mentioned before, an analog guide was created to help the designers to understand the developed system.
